Selfish about sex, am I?

My boyfriend and I have been together for a long time, long time. He is older then I by eight years. He has kids (all grown) I have no kids. I haven’t been able to get pregnant (due to a unknown medical problem).

We first meet each other when I was 27 years old and he was 35. Nearly EVERY NIGHT for the first ten years we would have intercourse, he had a very high sex drive. However, during that same time I constantly had "Lady Problems" once I had a menstrual period that last 178 days, none stop. I had no health insurance so I just learned to live with it and hoped it would just fix it’s self. (it eventually did)

Here we are thirteen years later and I’m 40 years old and have finally got to the root of all my "Lady Problems" and in the process of removing a cysts from my ovaries. My biological clock is just about to run out of time for me to get pregnant, the Dr. says if I’m gonna do it better be soon. But! at this point he can no longer have real sex. He suffers from Erectile Dysfunction due to diabetes. AND! He is not serious about taking his medication and doesn’t care to see a doctor, he doesn’t even try to self educate about alternative medicines.

For the past two years we’ve had sex but not intercourse. He penis gets partially erect so he can still ejaculate but it’s not hard enough to penetrate me, so I have to use my hand to "get him off" and he uses "toy’s" to take care of me. How can I get pregnant with that kind of sex?. Not to mention sex only comes once every few weeks some times months go by before we do it again. I’m in my prime age, as with most woman in their late thirties-early forty’s, I am always horny. (Men are in there prim at age eighteen to twenty seven ‘ish.)

And I also found that it is very difficult for my man to ejaculate. I suspect that was because he masturbated for a long time. And in the past few years probably he only "cum" in me by penetration for less than 10 times…So your situation is really not too bad. I am trying to say i think men need to be supported and understood/helped. what is the best erectile dysfunction medication?

i do not like those perscription drugs because of the site affects for erectile dysfunction i have diabetes and blood pressure problems of which i take two pills a day for.

I have heard from many with the same problem. Medicines for Diabetes and High Blood Pressures really cause erectile dysfunctions. Ask your doctor for any alternative medication, telling him about your problem. But don’t stop by yourself. Diabetes and High Blood Pressure needs very close care and medication and can cause severe damage if you will not take your medicine regularly. I have been told that once you started taking those medications, you have to take them for life. Others say that herbal medicines sometimes help, but I don’t know if you can find them in your locality.

Erectile Dysfunction in 17 year old boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have been having trouble with our sex life lately. He cant keep it hard and he cant get it all the way up.

My boyfriend is 17 and quite frankly, a bit of a horn dog. He is slightly overweight and is usually a heavy pot smoker, though he hasn’t smoked in a couple months at least. He has been depressed as long as ive known him, but a huge horn dog just as long.

Well, you’re important to him and sex is important to him, and he wants to do the best he can and under all that pressure, he chokes. There is a slim chance it could be something medical. I have had diabetes type 2 for the past 10 years. Erectile dysfunction started 2 years ago but was not over troublesome. Now it is becoming total. No erection occurs uinder any circumstance.

If your neuropathy is autonomic, the nerves have to regrow. That takes time, but isn’t impossible.

That would be a thousand days and if you were in poor health and older, it might be two thousand days.”

On the other hand, if your blood glucose level hasn’t been too high for years and years, your neuropathy could be simply metabolic. By bringing your blood glucose level down to normal you can reverse metabolic neuropathy “in a matter of weeks,” he says.

But the cause of ED might not be either metabolic or autonomic neuropathy. It might be due to vascular disease as well as or instead of neuropathy.

If the cause is vascular, the problem becomes more difficult, Dr. Bernstein says. But you can reverse vascular disease too. He knows, because he reversed his own vascular disease.

Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1946, his blood glucose levels were high and uncontrolled for many years until about 1973. “I had a number of bits of evidence of vascular disease before I started controlling my blood sugars. It certainly did serious damage to my kidneys.”

Maybe just as important, Dr. Bernstein started doing strenuous cardiovascular exercise in the early 1970s. Studies show that this can reverse atherosclerosis.

“I had one of these high-speed electron beam tomographic studies done a couple of years ago,” he says. “And this measures the amount of calcification of the coronary arteries. The score at this particular institution was 0 to 100. Zero means no calcification, 100 means the most severe form. And I had a score of 1, with one little fleck. At that time I was 72 years old and diabetic just below 60 years, I guess. And here had almost no vascular disease.”

If you have had diabetes for a long time and are well over the age of 40, you probably have both vascular disease and neuropathy, Dr. Bernstein says. He distinguishes between these two problems by measuring penile blood pressure. If it’s low, it means that the problem is vascular.

He also uses an EKG machine to do an R-R interval study of the vagus nerve. This measures the time elapsing between two consecutive R waves in the electrocardiogram.“If that is grossly abnormal, it means you have neuropathic problems.” Then, they confirm the results of the R-R interval study with a complete pelvic neurologic exam.

Whether the cause of ED is metabolic neuropathy, anatomic neuropathy, or vascular disease, you can cure it. Conveniently, maintaining normal blood glucose and doing strenuous exercise are exactly what we all need to do to control our diabetes.
