My penis almost killed someone :(! Help..?
Posted by admin | Under fixing erectile dysfunction Friday Feb 5, 2010It all started when i went to the pharmacy to shop for my granddad. I waited and finally got his blood pressure and arthritis medications. Now I’ve been dealing with erectile dysfunction for quite some time, needless to say i keep Viagra and various other penis pills handy(His meds are in the same pharmacy bag that MY pills are in). Long story short i accidentally ended up giving him my Viagra pills..Not knowing this at the time i was happily on my way home and thought i’d pop a Viagra since my girlfriend was home from college for the weekend..Reached in and..what do ya know…Blood pressure pills!!??! Oh snap!! The bags got switched……..5 minutes after turning around to head back to his house i get a cell phone call from my Grandmother who told me that my grandpa had just had a heart attack……….He’s in the hospital now and just got done with surgery to fix a valve in his heart. I feel awful….Yet i can’t bring myself to tell anyone what I’ve done…should i? This is driving me crazy.
That wasn’t your penis that did it. It was a medication error. Whoever was involved in him taking that pill is accountable. You, grandma, grandpa himself, whoever had their hand on the bottle and gave him the pills.
The lesson here is you should ALWAYS double and triple check your medications before you swallow them or before you give them to someone else to swallow.
I hope your grandpa is OK.

Um, I’m sure your grandfather is perfectly capable of reading a pill bottle and noticing it’s not his blood pressure pills. Also, Viagra has been shown to actually shield the heart from blood pressure damage.
Your grandfather has likely long had high blood pressure which puts tremendous strain on the heart and its valves and they just happened to hit him that day. Taking one Viagra is not going to just instantly cause valve damage.

I worked in a pharmacy as a department manager for the over the counter meds (not prescriptions) I worked on many occasions behind the counter checking out customers at the register. Prescription meds for two individuals should never be put in the same bag precisely because of what happened in your case. Pharmacies do make mistakes. These mistakes can have serious consequences. I was once given another person’s medication. It was a good thing I checked the bottle first. Did your grandpa actually take a Viagra pill? Did you count the pills? If his condition was due to a heart valve then Viagra might not have been the cause for the heart attack. Viagra is a vasodialator and can cause a drop in blood pressure which is known for causing some problems. Keep in mind that it was a mistake and not something that you wished to have happen. Only an in depth conversation with his doctor would reveal if the Viagra had anything to do with your grandpa’s heart attack. At some point the mistake might have to be revealed. Also you may have a legal case against the pharmacy. Although I am not a advocate of needless legal action, you may have a valid claim. Of course the entire point is that your grandpa is alive and well and hopefully has no continuing heart problems. I wish both you and your grandpa the best. Take care.

Viagra would have probably prevented a heart attack, it opens the blood vessels.
