I have a SERIOUS Rundll32 Problem, HELP!!?
Posted by admin | Under fixing erectile dysfunction Saturday Jan 30, 2010Ok, so.. it is the common Rundll32 problem, saying that it has an error, and such like that, now normally.. I would just registry scan it, and be done.. but I have a deeper problem..
I think I have a serious problem this time..
Every few moments, my IE opens up and opens "Adult.com" or "Porno.com" .. or something about Erectile Dysfunction.. it is quite annoying..
Along with, I can’t open ANYTHING that I download.. it will tell me that it is corrupted and ask to download the "Antivirus System PRO".. and that is it..
I can’t download anything to fix it.. I can’t do anything.. even opening task manager or anything that has to do with the system, will block me out and say something about a corrupt file or Rundll32, and ask me to buy ASP again..
Please, any help?
Or is my computer doomed??
Answer ASAP!!

Your infected with the Antivirus System Pro virus. Whatever you do, do not "buy" that scam. Use Malwarebytes to remove it.

First off, don’t buy anything that they recommend. You have what is called a "Ware Out" or an ebomb. You went to a bad website or downloaded a bad file. There is not much you can personally do because getting rid of them takes A LOT of work since it altered your registry. Take it to a computer shop…I believe even the Geek Squad at Best Buy can fix it for you. If you try to do it yourself and miss just a little of it, it will reload itself back to where it is now. Trust me, it’s not worth the effort. Go pay a hundred bucks or so to have it removed for you. It is definitely fixable though so don’t stress too much over that.

There are never any guarantees in malware fighting, but try this:
If you have an anti-virus, make sure it has the latest virus definitions and run a full scan with it in Safe Mode with Networking. That often prevents malware from protecting itself. If you don’t have one, many people here swear by AVG (it’s free).
I suggest you also download Ad-Aware Free and Spybot S&D (they’re free), install them, update them and run full scans with them, again in Safe Mode With Networking.
Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.
To get into Safe Mode with Networking:
1.Log out and reboot your machine.
2.When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.
3.Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.
4.Login. If the malware has changed your password, try logging in as Administrator. By default, Administrator has no password.
5.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different.
6.When you’re finished doing what you need to do, log out and reboot back into normal mode.
Note that even if the anti-malware programs get rid of the malware, they may not be able to reverse the effects. Search the Web for possible fixes.
Update and run full scans regularly, not just when you think you already have malware.
Good luck.
Note: There ARE free versions of these programs on the websites listed. They just may not be obvious.

Kaspersky (free trial) (Seems to dislike installing on any machine with just about any other decent anti-malware, including some firewalls.): http://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/
MalwareBytes (free) http://www.malwarebytes.org/ (If the program doesn’t run, changing its filename from mbam.exe to something else ending in .exe has sometimes proven effective.)
