Is it erectile dysfunction if my boyfriend loses his erection the 2nd or 3rd time we are having sex in a row?

Thursday Nov 19, 2009

We have great sex often, but lately on the 2nd or 3rd time we go at it, he is losing his erection in the middle of sex. Is this erectile dysfunction, or is it just too much to expect him to be able to go for 2 consecutive times? FYI, we are in our early 20’s.

i dont think its a problem.. when my gf and i have sexathons (weekends i can visit her) its hard to stay… well hard sometimes in the middle of sex after the first 1-2 times.. try changing positions up in the middle of sex.. dont do doggy or any behind positions unless hes very hard.. if hes not so hard, you should get ontop of him.

it happens. the penis can only take so much in a short time span.. sometimes i can go for 2 times in a row without a break, but not very often. sometimes the penis needs a break, it gets used to the sensation. try varying up your technique. and if he drinks or smokes, have him quit.

take a break between lovemaking.. get something to eat, grab a shower together and clean eachother off, play with eachother. then go back to the bedroom and bone eachothers brains out :-p if he goes soft in the middle of things, tell him to rub the head against your clit and opening.. it feels good to you, feels good to him, might get him hard again! works for me and my girlfriend.

sometimes you just can’t do it again so soon, he’s losing interest the 2nd or 3rd time.

i was always under the impression ED was when you couldnt get a erection at all. It sounds like your guy maybe needs a longer break between sex

It’s not ED – It’s just worn out lol. Wait longer in between and see of that helps.

no, he needs a rest period. all guys have a different rest period they need but all of them need it. It is called the refractory period. he is ok, don’t worry. Just give him a break.

No. That is not erectile dysfunction. ED is when they cannot get it up for sex at all.

Give the guy a break in between. Try spending ten minutes without having sex in between your olympic record setting sessions. He is a man, not a machine.

No, a man needs to be hydrated well and will usually need a few minutes to catch . I’ve gone as many as 6 times in 4 hours. but i need some time in between to catch my wind

In a row? Wow, go easy on the poor dude. You’ll rub it raw! If he had ED, it wouldn’t get up that much, if at all. So, space out the sessions, cut back a little, or get some toys. His junk is fine, just a little overworked.

HOOAH! It's an Army Thing:

Probably not E.D. Many men find it difficult to perform a second or third time. Often we need a time to recharge. This can take upwards to 45 minutes, depending on the man.

Mr. Wizard:

Is he ejaculating too soon? Are you having issues with orgasms during sex? I myself am a one shot wonder but don’t fall directly asleep and have a great sense of need for my wife to be satisfied as well. If she is not satisfied we wait for a while and then continue with the festivities all the while still exploring and having fun just to keep the interest alive. Sometimes it is better to wait for an hour or two and then resume. But also remember that sometimes it is just not possible. Talk with your mate and actually get into a deep discussion about the matter. He may also be hiding feelings about it but wants to make sure that you are taken care of first.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
It is not a dysfunction, this situation you describe.
If it really concerns you, between…umm…your ‘carnal episodes’ you might focus on really stimulating him with your fingers and mouth. Neck, ears, nipples, and the obvious are all great erogenous zones, although the first two are also frequently tickle zones.
